Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Foster Home Attendant to provide essential support and care to children of all ages in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child welfare, social work, or related fields, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist children with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to children, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Monitor and report any changes in childrens' physical or emotional conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Engage children in recreational activities that promote social interaction and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for children.
- Collaborate with family members and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure comprehensive support.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children.
- Background in child protective services or social work is a plus.
- Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and compassion in all interactions.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided.
