A bit about us: We’re an eastside family of four, seeking a reliable and experienced nanny to provide loving care for our newborn and toddler. We’re specifically looking for a caregiver who has both professional nanny experience and a background as a lead teacher in early childhood education. This position will primarily focus on infant care, as our toddler will start daycare in May, with occasional activities for the toddler during shared time. We value a clean, structured, and joyful environment where our children can thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically.
A bit about you: You are an experienced caregiver with a unique blend of nannying and lead teaching experience. Your background equips you with the skills to care for very young children, nurture their emotional development, and create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Creativity comes naturally to you, and you find joy in arranging engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. You’re also a team player who communicates well with parents, enjoys being part of a collaborative household, and is proactive in managing day-to-day tasks.
Job Duties: Your primary focus will be providing exceptional care for our newborn, with occasional activities for our toddler. Specific responsibilities include:
· Establishing and maintaining healthy sleep and feeding routines for our newborn.
· Preparing and feeding formula bottles, as well as diaper changes.
· Fostering emotional growth by responding to the baby’s cues and promoting secure attachment through consistent care.
· Supporting light household tasks, such as keeping the baby’s play and feeding areas clean and organized, assisting with small errands, and baby-related laundry.
· Engaging the toddler with fun, creative, and age-appropriate games or outdoor play (e.g., backyard or nearby parks).
· Designing and implementing activities that stimulate emotional and mental growth, tailored to the children’s developmental stages.

Qualifications:
· Experienced: Extensive experience caring for very young children (starting as early as 1–2 months) with both professional nanny experience and lead teaching experience in early childhood education.
· Emotionally Attuned: Ability to support emotional growth through nurturing care, understanding developmental milestones, and fostering secure relationships.
· Clean and Safety-Focused: You follow best practices for hygiene and prioritize safety in all caregiving tasks.
· Creative: Skilled in arranging activities that promote mental stimulation, creativity, and joyful exploration.
· Energetic and Joyful: You bring positive energy and enthusiasm into every interaction with the children.
· Vaccinated: You’re fully vaccinated, including baby-related vaccines and COVID-19.
Set yourself apart: If you have strong knowledge of baby sleep training techniques, enjoy bringing fun and creativity into a toddler’s day, and value clear communication with parents, you’ll be a fantastic fit! A vehicle is a plus for running errands or trips to nearby playgrounds. We hope you’re comfortable with pets too, we have an American Shorthair (but no pet responsibilities are expected, she’s older and does not move around a lot).
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (35 hours/week)
