Job Description
Position Purpose
The primary job objective for this position is to acquire new clients. Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Sales associates have an emphasis on parent’s needs and service knowledge, providing information on service features, and knowing related items to sell. Associates in this position know how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer that comes in for a tour. Sales associates maintain the lobby area, and ensure that it is clean, and safe. These associates work in cooperation with their team lead, and other play specialists to ensure customers’ needs are met.
Key Accountabilities
ENSURES CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Provides fast, friendly service
- Actively seek out customers that comes for a tour.
- Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and make eye contact with customers
- Ask open ended questions about customers’ objective in order to determine their needs
- Show enthusiasm with the customer
- When necessary, handle several customers at once
- Thank customers for visiting Kid City
- Follow up with customers via telephone and email when appropriate
Is knowledgeable about services offered by Kid City
- Answer questions about services
- Describe features and benefits of services over the phone or during a tour
- Explain the child’s experience at Kid City
- Promote services offered at the center such as Drop-in Program, Preschool Program, Afterschool Program, Summer Camp Program, Winter Camp Program, and other services
Teams up with others to ensure customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer complaints or involves the appropriate manager to ensure customer satisfaction
- Cooperate with play specialist and management when asked to help
DRIVES SALES
Executes sales process (greet, qualify, recommend, close, go the extra mile)
- Take Customers through the 5 step Sales process
- Discuss available options (good, better, best)
- Follow up on customers to complete the sale
- Set and achieving personal sales goals
- Read daily, weekly, monthly sales reports
- Know how product stacks up to competition
- Give feedback to Director, Mayor, board members, and investor what is selling
- Make decisions on markdowns when necessary to satisfy customer, on approval by Director or Mayor
