Kid City USA is urgently hiring!
We are in need of Lead Teachers.
Our teachers must:
- Have a passion for the growth and development of the precious children in our care.

- LOVE spending the day with the children in our center
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan both long-and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.
- Classroom teaching involves explaining an activity, engaging children in the activity, and supervising their work (i.e. standing, walking, bending, or squatting)
- Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
- Coordinate field trips.
- Turn in weekly lesson plans for review
- Diapering and assist children with toileting and self-care needs.
- Complete assessment of children's development.
- Report progress of children to parents and through parent-teacher conferences and progress reports.
- Maintain daily open communication with parents.
- Complete incident/accident reports and submit them to the office.
- Maintain anecdotal records.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Report any suspected abuse to supervisor.
- Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials.
- Supervise assistants, aides, and volunteers in the classroom.
- Keep all appropriate viable paperwork for licensing regulations.
- Lifting and carrying children.
- General cleaning and sanitation, including but not limited to, sweep, mop, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and taking the trash out.
- Lifting or moving equipment such as cots, shelves, tables, chairs, and cubbies.
We are most interested in applicants with the following:
- High school diploma/GED AND 1-year experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
- Current Level 2 background screening.
- Required state training hours completed.
- CDA or Staff credential.
- 18 years of age or older.
