What are the responsibilities and job description for the N.C. Pre-K Teacher position at Kid Kare Academy, Inc.?
Our teachers: Pre-K teachers instruct and prepare children 4 years of age to be ready for kindergarten. Use only positive early childhood guidance strategies to instruct children. Implement our curriculum, The Creative Curriculum, in a way that meets each child's unique learning style. Comply with state licensing and accreditation regulations for childcare centers. Work with our team to achieve the childcare center's goals. Present a welcoming attitude towards prospective families who tour the childcare center. Engage them in conversation about their child's education, and the features and benefits of our early childhood programs. Attend licensed childcare teacher training, staff meetings, and other professional development initiatives as required. N.C. Birth-through-Kindergarten (BK) License is required for this position. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or related field. N.C. Birth-through-Kindergarten (BK) License. State criminal background qualification letter. Partnering with families to develop positive, open, relationship-based communication, parent/teacher conferences, and other communication tools. Supporting developmental domains for children's learning and social-emotional growth using the Creative Curriculum. Implementing instructional and assessment practices utilizing the Teaching Strategies Gold Formative Assessment and other tools. Must be able to fully engage in physical activity. Must be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and stand for a long time, and demonstrate and engage in activities like jumping, dancing, walking, and running. Work is primarily performed at the childcare center. Daily outdoor work is required but work is otherwise indoors. Work is sometimes performed off-site for field trips. Must be able to see and hear well enough to monitor classrooms and playgrounds to keep children safe at all times.
