Job Summary
KidPT is seeking a passionate and child-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team! At KidPT, we empower children of all abilities to grow, play, and communicate confidently. In this role, you will launch our speech therapy program while you work with pediatric patients, helping them overcome speech, language, and communication challenges through engaging and evidence-based interventions. Our collaborative, movement-based approach integrates speech therapy with physical and occupational therapy to provide comprehensive support for each child’s development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs, incorporating play-based and movement-driven therapy techniques.
- Implement engaging and functional therapy sessions that target articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social communication.
- Collaborate with KidPT’s multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care for each child.
- Guide and educate parents and caregivers, providing strategies for at-home practice to enhance communication skills in everyday life.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and treatment documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Experience & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in NJ
- Experience working with pediatric populations (early intervention, sensory processing, motor planning, or neurodiverse populations a plus!).
- Strong knowledge of child development, speech-language milestones, and augmentative communication strategies.
- A collaborative mindset and passion for play-based, movement-integrated therapy approaches.
- Excellent communication skills and a family-centered approach to care.
