What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Float Teacher position at Kid's Crossing Daycare?
$14.00 an hour - Kids Crossing is looking to hire a part time float teacher, working Monday through Friday. This is a great position for high school students. Float teachers work throughout the daycare assisting in areas of need, caring for children from age 4 weeks to 5 years. Floats may help with the implementation of the classroom curriculum, supervision of the children, daily cleaning tasks, and regular communication with parents and staff. You will receive lots of cuddles and unconditional hugs from our little ones.
Hours/Job Info
- Part Time Position (10-15) hours per week
- 3:30-6:00 Monday through Friday
- All Classrooms (ages 0-5 Years)
- February 2024 Start Date
- No nights, no weekends
Responsibilities of Assistant Teacher
- Provide quality care to children
- Help lead teacher in implementing classroom curriculum
- Supervise and participate in children's daily activities
- Assist in providing meals, diaper changes, naps, and necessary care for infants
- Greet parents and children in a warm, inviting manner
- Console children, treat basic injuries, work closely with lead teacher
- Assist in regular communication with parents and staff
Skills/Knowledge
- Teachers must be reliable, mature, show respect to children and coworkers, and be excited to work with families
- Have a basic understanding of children's growth and development throughout the infant stages
Applicant Requirements
- 14 years of age or older
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to pass a child abuse/neglect screening
- Have no felony convictions
- Willing to complete state required background checks
- Show proof of or are willing to complete CPR certification
