What are the responsibilities and job description for the Float Teacher - URGENTLY HIRING position at Kid's Crossing Daycare?
$15.00 an hour - Kids Crossing is looking to hire a FULL TIME immediate float teacher, working Monday through Friday. Float teachers work throughout the daycare assisting in areas of need, caring for children from age 4 weeks to 5 years. Floats may help with the implementation of the classroom curriculum, supervision of the children, daily cleaning tasks, and regular communication with parents and staff. You will receive lots of cuddles and unconditional hugs from our little ones.
Hours/Job Info
- Full Time Position (30-40) hours per week
- All Classrooms (ages 0-5 Years)

Responsibilities of Assistant Teacher
- Provide quality care to children
- Help lead teacher in implementing classroom curriculum
- Supervise and participate in children's daily activites
- Assist in providing meals, diaper changes, naps, and necessary care for infants
- Greet parents and children in a warm, inviting manner
- Console children, treat basic injuries, work closely with lead teacher
- Assist in regular communication with parents and staff
Skills/Knowledge
- Teachers must be reliable, mature, show respect to children and coworkers, and be excited to work with families
- Have a basic understanding of children's growth and development throughout the infant stages
Applicant Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Have previous childcare experience (preferred)
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to pass a child abuse/neglect screening
- Have no felony convictions
- Willing to complete state required background checks
- Show proof of or are willing to complete CPR certification
