Kidcreate Studio - Ashburn is looking for a dynamic art and science teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be teaching children, 18 months to 12 years of age, art and science programs. Kidcreate Studio specializes in children's art and science classes, camps, birthday parties, and after school programs. Weekly classes, camps, workshops, and after school programs are age-specific and tailored to provide each student with the curriculum that suits them best.

The ideal candidate is someone with positive energy who builds warm and engaging connections with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Supporting the mission, philosophy, and core values of the studio.

Planning, preparing, and teaching an approved curriculum.

Teaching in-studio and after school programs.

Ensuring the safety of children at all times and maintaining a healthy classroom.

Actively engaging and interacting with all children during class hours.

Taking attendance and maintaining records.

Being independent, reliable, and dependable.

Maintaining sanitation by cleaning and organizing the classroom.

Qualifications and Requirements :

Experience working with children between 18 months to 12 years of age.

Must be physically able to participate in activities with children.

Must have a positive attitude and high energy enthusiasm.

Experience working in an after school program is a plus.

Strong knowledge of child behavior and learning.

Ability to work with children and remain friendly, calm, and patient at all times.

Must be able to drive 20 or more miles throughout Arlington and Fairfax County for after school programs.

Must be available on Tuesday-Thursday afternoons between 2-6 pm.
