About this role
Experienced Procurement professional, overseeing processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals. Takes action on changes identified in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure successful a procurement process.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting quote requests (RFQ) and purchase orders (POs), and tracking deliveries.
- Coordinating with NPD Engineering teams for any material procurement requests.
- Developing and implementing sourcing plans to support NPD schedules.
- Promoting strong ethical relationships with suppliers.
- Discussing supply and business issues, negotiating, and resolving challenges with outside vendors.
- Actively supporting Quality teams in all NPD programs.
- Ensuring suppliers meet Edwards’ expected level quality, on time delivery, and cost terms.
- Interfacing with Accounts Payable (AP) and Disbursements teams to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Collaborating with our Global Sourcing team to support the KGS global sourcing strategy.
- Understanding the site’s supply base spend profile for all relevant commodities (values, volumes, suppliers, sites, etc.), both now and in the future.
- Facilitating and effectively holding meetings as required.
- Working with the KGS legal team to initiate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), contracts, etc.
- Ensuring early and ongoing supplier and procurement involvement in the NPD process.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree
- 5 years’ procurement management experience
- 3 years’ in purchasing/procurement
- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- CPIM / CPSM Certification (a plus)
- PPM Certification (a plus)
- Working knowledge of electronic, plastic, and metal components and assemblies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Visio)
- Experience with Oracle and JDE (or similar MRP systems)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies (PCBAs)
- Familiarity with Quality and Lean principles for continuous improvement
- Excellent statistical and analytical skills (a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Effective time management
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills
- Highly energetic and success-driven team player
- Quick learner, able to work independently.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience with fire alarm systems and markets (a plus)
