About this role
The Product Management Specialist will gather and analyze industry trends and influences, voice of customer data, and stakeholder feedback to establish product roadmaps, strategies and priorities for product development. This role will also provide leadership to help vet and cultivate innovative ideas, establish solid business cases and strategies for product concepts, and to ensure successful product launches and sales growth, including product life-cycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of products including sourced or outside vendor products
- Communicate with leadership to set and communicate business performance goals and measures commitments to targets
- Create product strategies, roadmaps, and priorities for product portfolio and drive Carrier passport process
- Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers to validate product direction
- Develop business cases and requirements around proposed development efforts
- Ensure proper product positioning, messaging, pricing, launch / commercialization
- Demonstrate financial acumen and key drivers including product cost, schedule, incremental revenue, gross revenue and gross margin
- Ensure products meet requirements for quality, safety, and reliability
- Support commercial events including sales meetings and tradeshows
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
- Be the expert in customer, competitors and market, as well as monitor key industry trends
- Collaborate with marketing and other cross-functional teams as required
