Kidder Mathews is an expanding, dynamic, vibrant and entrepreneurial firm and has been consistently recognized as a "best place to work" in multiple markets on the West Coast.Job SummaryThe Sr. Vice President, Valuation is responsible for independently preparing market value appraisals for commercial real estate and other properties, preparing appraisal reports, keeping up to date on real estate market, and mentoring trainees. The Sr. Vice President, Valuation is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships as well as mentoring and training Associate Appraisers and / or Trainees.Essential FunctionsDevelop business and source jobs including bidding, delivery timing and fee quotesProduce and authorize letters of engagement or contractsFully develop valuation analysis, conclusions and appraisal reportsInspect properties and gather data from property stakeholdersComplete appraisals including area descriptions, market analysis, site description and improvement descriptionsResearch, analyze, and report findings of regional and local area economic profiles including employment, population, household income, existing real estate market conditions, as well as identifying and reporting on development trends for the real estate marketInvestigate and gather data for estimating the value of real estateProduce high quality reports accurately and on timeManage billing and collection of Appraisal Fees due for appraisals conductedIdentify and resolve issues related to appraisals as they ariseProvide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and / or training / mentorship to peers and less experienced AppraisersStay current and up to date on market and economic conditionsDevelop and maintain industry and relevant professional relationships and partnershipsOther FunctionsPerform other duties or projects as requested or requiredEssential QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
