Academy Assistant Director is responsible for consistently delivering an exceptional parent/child experience in the Academy in order to drive education, operations, and marketing for improved profitability. A commitment to Kiddie Academy’s mission of “Awakening possibilities through Life Essentials®” is imperative. This position assumes the responsibility of and oversees all operations and education functions of the Academy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education ECE or a related education field
- A minimum of 1 year experience as an assistant center director & working in a licensed childcare center
- DCFS State required director’s credential
- Knowledge and experience working with early childhood National and State accrediting agencies
- Knowledge of the early childhood field and developmentally appropriate practices; thorough understanding of child development in early childhood education setting
- Previous experience in and/or knowledge of training, coaching or mentoring mechanisms
- The ability to work independently and as a team member
- Exemplary commitment to customer service
- Must be an effective outward communicator and listener and manager
- Organized and comfortable in using technology and programs daily with speed and ease
- Comfortable with large group presentations
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

- 1 weekend quartely must be ready and available to host marketing tours/open house

Qualifications- Must meet DCFS State Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage educational programs, ensuring alignment with early childhood education standards.
- Understand and Compliant with 407 Illinois Regulations within a childcare center including record keeping, child files etc.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and improvement including enrollment, marketing, and event planning.
- Onboard, Train, andMentor support staff in effective teaching practices and communication skills.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to enhance educational outcomes.
- Responsible for supply orders, summer camp planning
- Learning Subsidy and other 3rd party vendor paperwork and financial entry.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes leadership and professional development among team members.
- Engage with parents and the community to support children's learning and development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,695.00 - $56,991.00 per year
