Pre-Shool Chef

We are currently seeking to employ an experienced chef to prepare and serve meals for students in our on-site warming kitchen for Kiddie Academy of Dunwoody-Chamblee.

We are Kiddie Academy of Dunwoody-Chamblee, a Brand New, 2-story luxury Private Preschool located in Dunwoody-Chamblee area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work with school leaders and classroom teachers to ensure daily mealtime schedules and routines are consistent

· Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents

· Communicate effectively with parents and teachers on any ongoing dietary needs of their children/students

· Regular attendance is an essential requirement of the position in order to offer children and parent’s consistency

· Assist and supervise children during play-based, center-based activities encouraging children to learn naturally and encourage curiosity

· Provide positive guidance to children

· Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the Kitchen is appropriately maintained

· Attend and participate in staff meetings and parent conferences as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

· Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, hearing, talking, and repetitive motion are physical requirements of the position.

· Previous experience in a childcare meal service (warming kitchen experience encouraged) Possess a teamwork mindset, strong communication skills, organization skills and problem-solving ability

· Ability to build rapport with children, families, and peers

· Must meet all Georgia state requirements for this position

· At least 1 Year of Experience in formal childcare setting

· Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

· Highly professional and dependable

· Must be able to interact warmly, appropriately, and professionally with students of all ages (6 weeks-5 years) and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management

· Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high

· Must pass a complete background check to be eligible for this position
