What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher/Educator - Training Provided position at Kiddie Academy of Asheville?
You will use your caring attitude, creative nature and excellent communication and collaboration skills in the classroom. Among your responsibilities will be: Providing general classroom supervision, which includes personal care, hygiene and positive guidance for the children. Preparing and implementing activities for children that stress physical, social and emotional growth. Providing materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in active play.

- Able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents, coworkers, and management.
- Able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
To be considered for Lead Teacher positions, candidate must have: 1) associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development; or 2) a degree from an accredited institution and at least 12 semester hours in early childhood coursework; and 3) 2 years of verifiable childcare experience.
