What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Infant Care Assistant position at Kiddie Academy of Chanhassen?
Kiddie Academy of Chanhassen is looking for a passionate caretaker to assist in closing our infant classrooms down at the end of the day and/or to help us during teacher breaks throughout the day. In this role, you would be responsible for helping with the babies in the classroom until their parents pick them up, as well as following classroom closing procedures - or - helping the Infant Pod of teachers cover teacher breaks.
This is a part time opportunity with hours as short as 3 - 6 p.m., 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. or 12 - 6 p.m. If you are interested in a full time opportunity, please see our Infant Assistant Teacher Job Opening.

As an infant teacher, your essential job duties include:
- Ensures that the physical, social and emotional needs of our sweet little babies are met.
- Ensures all infant classroom policies and procedures are followed to keep the children healthy and safe.
- Creates activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and development through well-defined interest areas.
- Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained, in accordance with Minnesota DHS cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, Academy events and parent meetings, as requested.
- Assists babies with meal times, bottle feeding and clean up.
- Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.06 - $17.02 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
