What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Cook / Bus Driver position at Kiddie Academy of Columbia, SC?
Responsibilities / Duties :
- Prepare nutritious meals for children that align with CACFP / USDA meal guidelines
- Clean, Sanitize, and organize kitchen supplies and inventory.
- Maintain Labels and dates for expiring food and stored inventory.
- Model Good habits to demonstrate proper food handling
- Serve each class meals in a timely manner that aligns with their classroom schedule
- Store food properly and follow guidelines for sanitation.
- Document Meals served and Maintain Food Service Documentation : This may include CACFP Meal Counts as well Inventory records etc.
- Must Pass a Background Check (SLED & Central Registry)
- Complete Food & Nutrition and CACFP Training / Transportation safety Training
- Clean Driving Record & Valid Drivers License in South Carolina
- Maintain Accurate Transportation Documents ( Tracking, checklist etc.)
- Follow Daily Pickup schedule, routes, and transportation guidelines
- Maintain Time Management for Pick up schedule (all children picked up by 3 : 10pm)
- Safe Driving Habits and Rode Safety for transporting children
- Ensure proper loading and unloading guides for pick up and drop off on the bus
- Communicate with staff and center management on a daily basis
- Keep the Bus clean, safe, and equipped with all required materials ( First Aid Kit, Transportation Binder, etc. ) All Childcare center staff are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of children in our care. As a Center Cook / Bus Driver it is imperative that you have a strong dedication to childhood safety and quality of care. Operating a childcare vehicle and preparing meals for young children is an important responsibility that requires diligence and care. We expect our kitchen / transportation staff to uphold high standards in cleanliness, maintaining accurate records and monitoring safety standards. Adhering to all guidelines will be essential to your success in this role. CPR / First Aid certification will be required as well. Must have experience driving a bus that can seat at least 14 passengers.
