What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Floater Teacher position at Kiddie Academy of Munster?
Job Summary: Kiddie Academy of Munster has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, optimistic and inspiring educator to join our team as either a Floater Teacher or Lead Floater Teacher (see below for the Lead-Qualified requirements by Indiana state standards). These are vital positions requiring a positive attitude, creativity, collaboration, and most of all the versatility to work in any of our classrooms with children ranging from 6-weeks through school age.
Job Responsibilities: Responsible for stepping into classrooms to assist in the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children. Is responsible for ensuring that all parents, children, and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed.
Qualifications: Must be 21 or older, have a completed HS Diploma/G.E.D., and have at least 1 year of experience in a Early Childhood Education setting.
Additionally, if you are applying to be a Lead-Qualified Floater Teacher, you must have at least one of the following:
- A completed CDA (Child Development Associate)
- A completed Early Childhood Education/Education/Child Development Degree
- A completed bachelor's degree in another field with 15 completed college credits in Early Childhood Education/Education/Child Development coursework of "C" or better
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
