Job description
One of the leading child care centers in Orange County is looking to add new dedicated team members seeking long term and stable jobs with excellent opportunities for growth in the educational field.
Our Orange County locations are currently seeking:Qualified Preschool Teachers, Infant/Toddler teachers, Teacher Assistants.
The ideal candidate will have 12 ECE qualified units. Will consider any applicant who has some ECE classes and is willing to enroll in additional classes to complete qualification. We are willing to help our employees get qualified by enrolling them in the required ECE units.Infant/toddler teachers will have 3 units in infant toddler.
For assistant teachers, no ECE classes are required. However, we are seeking someone with willingness to take the required ECE courses and are willing to help in the process.
We are willing to train any candidate that does not have experience but otherwise is a good fit.

Responsibilities:

Daily planning, management and supervision of the classroom and children. Generally, is assisted in the classroom by another qualified teacher or an assistant teacher.

Responsible for ensuring that all parents, children and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed.

Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.

Counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise.

Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule.

Develops, plans, and prepares instructional aids / materials for classroom activities.

Assists children with meal times and clean-up.

Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.

Physically arranges the classroom into well-defined interest areas. Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner.

Communicates appropriate information to parents.

Completes all academy and classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports, daily feeding/sleeping charts.

Maintains family information board and other classroom bulletin boards.

Must meet state requirements for position including but not limited to a medical exam/physical and have a clear background check to qualify for employment. In addition, candidates must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.

Pay depends on education and experience in a childcare center as well as front office experience in a childcare setting.
