Kiddie Academy Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY is looking for several Infant & Toddler teachers to join our strong team. We have on the spot interviews and are offering a 250.00 sign on bonus after 3 months of peak performance.
The position is Monday- Friday with flex schedules 8:00am- 3:00pm, 9:00am-4:00pm, 10:00am- 6:00pm.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children. Generally, is assisted in the classroom by an assistant teacher. Is responsible for ensuring that all parents, children, and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed. We have a great staff and would love for you join your Kiddie Academy family!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, program, and classroom schedule
- Develops, plans, and prepares instructional aids / materials for classroom activities with your assistant teacher
- Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner
- Completes all academy and classroom paperwork via the iPad: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports
- Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained, in accordance with the cleaning and sanitizing guidelines
- Assists and supervises children during all activities including mealtimes, clean-up, and diaper changing
- Counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise.
- Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly
- Physically arranges the classroom into well-defined interest areas
- Communicates appropriate information to parents; maintains developmental profiles for children
- Schedules and conducts parent and teacher conferences throughout the year
- Maintains family information board and other classroom bulletin boards
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings, as requested
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accepts temporary work assignments in the event regularly scheduled personnel is not available: for example, morning health checks
- Prepares classroom portion of monthly newsletter
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED); nine college credits in early childhood education or child development; two years' experience caring for children, and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; or
- High School diploma or equivalent (GD) and five years of supervised experience in an infant/toddler classroom
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in early childhood education within seven years; or
- Associate's (AA or AS) degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education; or
- Be a team player - a desire to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Ability to have a good working relationship with supervisors, staff, parents and outside personnel
- Candidate must pass a medical exam/physical and have a clear background check to qualify for employment
- Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
