Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, including those with disabilities, to provide individualized support and promote their educational success.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Facilitate classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment.
- Help educate children on basic math concepts through interactive games and exercises.
- Observe and document children's progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
- Engage with children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's development and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for teaching young children.
Qualifications
- 45 Hours DCF Training
- CDA License (Preferred)
- Experience working with children in daycare or educational settings.
- Available to work full time Monday-Friday

Pay: $14.65 - $15.26 per hour
