Position Overview: A Toddler Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children aged 1 to 3 years old. The teacher will design age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met. The role requires patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of early childhood education principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Management: Create a warm and welcoming environment for toddlers. Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space. Supervise and ensure the safety of children during activities, both indoors and outdoors. Manage children’s behavior with positive discipline techniques.
- Curriculum Planning & Implementation: Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of toddlers. Plan and lead daily activities, such as art projects, music, storytelling, group games, and physical activities. Tailor lesson plans to meet the needs of children with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Individualized Care and Development: Provide individual attention and support to each child to foster their social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Observe and assess children’s progress, noting developmental milestones and identifying any areas of concern. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development and progress.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including sanitation, food safety, and safe play practices. Monitor children’s physical well-being and provide first aid when necessary. Assist with nap time and snack routines, ensuring proper hygiene practices are observed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment. Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities, behavior, and progress. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred. Some centers may require a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant certifications.
- Experience: Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood education setting is a plus.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Working Conditions:
- Full-time work availability is required for this role Monday through Friday 9am-6pm
