Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills in preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all students.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing appropriate classroom management techniques.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a preschool or educational setting is required.
- CDA License preferred, 45 Hour DCF Completion required.
- A background in early childhood education or special education is preferred.
- Familiarity with infant care practices is highly desirable.
- Proven skills in classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- First aid certification is a plus.
- Experience as a nanny or babysitter can be beneficial for this role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Bilingual English and Spanish speaking capabilities is a plus
- Monday to Friday full time availability 9AM-5PM
