What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Assistant Teacher position at Kiddie College?
We are currently seeking an Assistant Teacher to work with children ranging from ages 18 months - 5 years old.
The ideal candidate will be fun, energetic, flexible, and have a passion for working with children.
Minimum requirements:
-Able to work any hours between 7:00am - 5:45pm (full-time position)
-12 core ECE units
-6 months experience in a child care/preschool setting
-Knowledge of Title 22 regulations
-CPR/First Aid certification
-Ability to respond quickly to children's conflicts/emergencies
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
-Successful completion of fingerprinting process or transfer of fingerprints
Responsibilities include:
-Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities
-Ongoing communication with parents
-Physical caregiving
-Maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment
Preferred:
-Bilingual
-NAEYC experience
-AA or BA in child development/ECE
On the job training will be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.25 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
