Job Title: Pre-K Teacher
Location: Kiddie Kollege Childcare Campus 2 – 2880 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio
Position Overview:
Kiddie Kollege Childcare Campus 2 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to prepare young children for kindergarten and their educational journey. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, helping children develop critical social, emotional, and academic skills. This role requires creativity, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment tailored to meet individual children’s needs.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and activities aligned with preschool educational standards.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques, such as storytelling, play, and hands-on activities, to support children’s learning.
- Observe and document each child’s progress to help improve their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage positive interactions among children and support conflict resolution when necessary.
- Communicate professionally and regularly with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and interactive classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher (1 year preferred).
- A minimum of CPL 3 in OCCRRA or a CDA credential.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and preschool educational methods.
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
- Excellent communication, instructional, and classroom management skills.
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and engage in activities indoors and outdoors.
