What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Preschool Teacher position at Kiddie Kollege Preschool?
Kiddie Kollege Preschool is in need of a Preschool Lead Teacher to join our roster of experienced, motivated and effective teaching professionals. The successful candidate will assume a classroom of up to 18 students. We strive in every way to create an inspiring and enriching atmosphere both for our students and our personnel. Every day, we encourage our Teachers to interact with their students on a personal level and to identify each student’s learning styles. We put strong emphasis on physical activity, interactive learning and the use of props and other educational tools.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create a welcoming atmosphere in the classroom for both children and parents
- Implement preschool curriculum and complete daily lesson plans
- Organize materials and resources
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and activities that reach all learning styles of the children
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
- Assess and monitor students progress on a regular basis
- Assist with lunch, recess, and other duties as assigned
- Cooperate with administration staff
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and Texas child care standards and regulations
- Job Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a preschool teacher, preschool assistant, or teacher aide
- Excellent knowledge of child development and latest educational theories and practices
- Ability to teach creatively
- Willingness to work effectively with both parents and other staff
- Excellent teaching and organizational skills
- Willingness to keep abreast of latest teaching trends and best practices
- Must be able to pass background check and FBI fingerprint check
- Must be willing to become CPR and First Aide Certified if not already certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.88 - $13.88 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
