Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EEC certified Lead Teacher/Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. As a Lead Teacher/Teacher you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing engaging curriculum while supporting the growth and development of preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's learning and development.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers and support staff.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Implement early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support.
- Maintain clear communication with families regarding classroom activities, student progress, and any concerns.
Experience
- Proven experience in a classroom setting, preferably in preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Experience working with diverse groups of students, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curriculum that meets the needs of young learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
