At KidNCode, we're on a mission to make coding exciting and accessible for kids. As a Coding Instructor, you'll play a key role in inspiring young minds and guiding them through their journey in the world of technology.
What You’ll Do:
Teach foundational and advanced coding concepts to children ages 6–18 in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.
Introduce students to programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, and technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, Web Development, and Game Development.
Cultivate skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and computational creativity.
Be a mentor and role model—empowering kids to become tomorrow’s tech innovators.
Deliver engaging lessons both in-person and online to meet the needs of a flexible and diverse learning community.
Travel to partner schools and community sites to run coding enrichment programs and after-school coding clubs, bringing the joy of technology directly to students.
What We’re Looking For:
Passionate individuals who love coding and working with kids.
Teaching experience or background in mentoring children is a plus—but not required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a simple, engaging way.
A creative, flexible approach to adapting lessons to fit various learning styles and interests.
Comfort with online teaching platforms and the ability to manage virtual classrooms effectively.
Willingness and ability to travel locally to schools and community sites for coding enrichment programs and clubs.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, JavaScript (or similar).
- Knowledge of or interest in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
- Experience or familiarity with Game Development tools (e.g., Scratch, Unity, or similar).
- Understanding of Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Comfortable teaching both block-based (e.g., Scratch) and text-based programming.
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
