Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations.
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history and current symptoms
- Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, procedures, and general health maintenance
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic anatomy knowledge
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Knowledge of basic medical coding and billing processes
- Basic life support (BLS) certification a plus
