Nurse Practitioner
Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) provides comprehensive kidney care and a full spectrum of kidney disease management resources for residents of Southern Nevada. Our care team educates and empowers patients who are living with kidney pain, infections, stones, and other kidney problems. With this exciting opportunity you will be joining a seasoned team of 50 Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and a Physician Assistant, as well as 70 team members across eight office locations. We are looking for a dynamic Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team working in our clinic locations Monday to Friday. The ideal individual will make our patients a priority and feels patient care is as important as we do.

Overview
This Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays an active role in promoting quality patient care and overall practice success. He/she works closely with Physicians, ancillary staff members and Management to improve patient care and outcomes. A successful NP establishes and maintains professional community relationships with outside clinics/hospitals and physicians. In addition, the NP works with management to set and achieve goals for productivity and performance and provides leadership or mentor support for clinical staff.
Position Details
Location: Las Vegas, Henderson & Pahrump
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Census: 12 patients each ½ day increment
Hours: 8a-5p
- Care for patients in an office setting
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Review & prescribe medications
- Educate patients on disease management
- Coordinate care with the nephrologist & referring physician
- Will work 1 day a month at the REACH clinic.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited School
- Active, unrestricted State of Nevada Nurse Practitioner license
- Minimum of three (3) years of Nurse Practitioner experience with at least one (1) year of clinical experience.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills and a professional demeanor when responding to patients and staff
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR and excellent computer skills
Preferred
- Nephrology experience as an APN, RN or dialysis tech preferred
- ICU or ER experience as an APN or RN preferred
