Be a part of Kidokinetics (www.kidokinetics.com), a fitness and sports program for young children ages (2-8years). We introduce variety of sports to kids in a FUN and non- competitive way teaching children the fundamentals of ALL sports. Programs are conducted at schools, day cares, parks or community centers.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong love for children & teaching children. Candidate must possess a high energy, positive approach with a genuine desire to impact young children’s lives through sports.
The Instructor/coach is responsible for implementing the Kidokinetics curriculum, ensuring each child has a positive and successful Kidokinetics experience, and is responsible for the well-being of each student who attends a Kidokinetics class. The coach assumes the role of coach, friend and guide. Ultimately it is the coach’s responsibility to carry out the mission of Kidokinetics: helping children enhance coordination, concentration, and fine/gross motor skills in a fun and non-competitive environment. Pay will be commensurate with experience and any existing credentials from sanctioned governing bodies of sports or nationally accredited institutions. Candidates will be required to work throughout the calendar year.

Must have experience working with kids (age 3 and above) and must have experience either playing sports or coaching/teaching sports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and guide preschool and elementary school children in various sports activities in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics Inc.
- Create and deliver age-appropriate sports lessons to enhance skill development and physical fitness.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for sports.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during all sports activities.
- Plan and organize sports sessions, including warm-ups, drills, and game-like scenarios.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, addressing their unique needs and abilities.
- Set clear goals and expectations for children, encouraging their personal growth and achievement.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, providing feedback and progress updates.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents that may occur during sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with current coaching techniques, sports trends, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and improve sports programs and curriculum.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or degrees in physical education, sports science, early childhood development, or related fields would be a plus.
Experience: Experience working with children in a coaching or teaching capacity. Relevant experience might include coaching youth sports teams, leading physical education classes, or working at summer camps or after-school programs.
Growth Prospects: Ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children who will be able to coach initially. As we grow and expand in the area, they will have an option to transition to more of a managerial/leadership role handling more of the day to day operations, marketing, scheduling, social media, networking and continuing to grow the business. We are looking for someone who will take initiative, is self-motivated and willing to work hard as we increase Kidokinetics presence in the Chicago area.
Additional requirements: Valid driver’s license. must undergo a background check, including criminal record and child abuse clearance, to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and considered for employment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
