The Performance and Strategy Supervisor (PSS) works with the Senior Director of Performance and Planning and Kids Central leadership to enhance organizational strategy by analyzing organizational performance, providing exceptional customer service, and monitoring/communicating Kids Central’s strategic and performance goals. The PSS leads a performance and planning team which focuses on improving performance at all levels of the organization through key information sharing, thoughtful analysis, and system support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Kids Central senior leadership in development and monitoring of Kids Central and subcontracted providers annual scorecards.
- Effective organizational communication.
- Monitors strategic implementation plans (both internally and with external partners) designed to meet agency goals and objectives, effectively organize data collection, compilation and utilization efforts designed to measure and drive strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all subcontracted providers, DCF Program staff, the Judiciary and community stakeholders and representation of Kids Central, Inc. on special projects or committees.
- Designs reporting procedures that monitor objectives through operational metrics that drive desired outcomes and identify problem areas to improve performance with recommended counter measures with a focus on continuous process improvement.
- Assist in the provision of operational oversight to the case management agencies and serves as the point of contact related to performance issues.
- Monitor, measure, and report on processes and outcomes, and ensure the ongoing collection of program data that is used for required reporting.
- Leads and/or participates in program or content teams for improvement activities or special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Experience
Bachelors in human services, business administration or relevant field with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in child welfare, behavioral health or related field. Project management/CQI background preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree can be substituted with 5 years of data analytics background in child welfare with specialized knowledge in FSFN BOE systems and ASK document imaging software

Ability to successfully clear a Level II Background Screen as required by Florida Statute and DCF
Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and be insurable by the agency’s current insurance carrier
Must carry personal smart phone with data plan for business communications during and outside business hours
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement processes and Six Sigma problem solving technique
- Effective supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Excellent knowledge of the Florida child welfare system
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Access database, including the ability to develop performance tracking tools (charts & graphs)
- Expert knowledge of automated systems (Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN), Business Objects Environment, Excel, Mind Share, MyJumpVault, ASK
- Excellent assessment skills
- Good working knowledge of community resources and Florida child welfare system
- Ability to travel up to 25% Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
