What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Finance - Child Welfare position at Kids Central?
The Assistant Director of Finance provides day-to-day leadership, and performance management for the Accounting, Eligibility, Utilization Management, and Contracts Departments. Efficient performance in these departments is essential to business operations and helps ensure company resources are used effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Supervises the Eligibility Supervisor, UM and Contracts Supervisor, and Payroll Specialist
- Oversees eligibility processes to optimize the utilization of available federal and state funds and Medicaid enrollments
- Oversees utilization management processes to review referrals for specialized client support services
- Oversees contracting processes, competitive procurement, contract development, contract invoice approval, contract monitoring, and reporting
- Analyzes subcontractor budgets for contract negotiations and performs quarterly budget to actual comparisons
- Supervises the payroll process, ensuring staff, tax deposits, and retirement plan contributions are paid timely and accurately
- Serves as liaison between Kids Central and 401(k) third party administrator and asset custodian
- Responds to information requests from independent auditors, DCF, and other grant awarding organizations
- Other projects as assigned
