ids Choice Pediatric Rehab & Therapy Center is looking for an energetic, passionate, and patient-focused Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our growing team! We seek candidates who are highly motivated, ethical, compassionate, and professional, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Position Overview:
This role provides outpatient-based therapy services to students in Trumbull County attending Head Start/Early Head Start—and the best part? No IEPs required!
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans and goals designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Deliver innovative therapy interventions, modifying activities as needed to support client progress.
- Apply knowledge of child development in areas such as fine motor coordination, visual processing, gross motor skills, self-help abilities, sensory processing, handwriting, play, and social-emotional development.
- Monitor and report client progress to the supervising OT.
- Communicate effectively with the OT Manager, Director of Rehab, and supervising OT.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Pediatric experience preferred (but not required).
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Must pass a criminal background check and child abuse clearance (no record).
- Active Ohio OTA license required.
