What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Floater position at KIDS CONNECTION LEARNING CENTER?
Seeking an experienced and compassionate and fun after care teacher for an established childcare center. We need a strong and consistent presence in the classroom to build a strong rapport with our children and give them the care they deserve. Looking for someone to make our afterschool program fun and exciting. The teacher must also help the children complete their homework daily.
DCF 45 hours required to apply. Availability from 1:00PM-5:30PM
Pay based on credentials and experience, raises available after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Help with homework.
- Come up with fun, safe activities for the children to engage in afterschool.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's individual needs.
- Nurture children with empathy and respect.
- Show up daily with energy and purpose.
Summary
As an afterschool teacher you will be helping the children succeed in school by completing their homework and helping educate them in areas of need. You will also be required to keep them active and entertained for the few hours a day we have them. Come up with some fun, safe activities for them to engage in. Create a relationship and bond with the children, so they have support and guidance.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
