Kids’ Corps, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit serving low-income families with young children through Head Start, Early Head Start, and Parents as Teachers programs in Anchorage, Alaska. Work hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (year round or part year August through May both available)
Reports to: Center Director
Supervises: Gives input to Center Director on Assistant Teacher performance
Minimum Requirement:
- An AA or BA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- AA or BA in a related field with at least four (3-credit) courses in Early Childhood
Applicants who do not possess a degree in early childhood or related field must agree to take additional classes to meet Head Start Teacher Qualification Requirements.
Starting Salary dependent on education:
Associate’s Degree: $25.45
Bachelor’s Degree: $29.22
Graduate Degree: $33.38
There is a 10-step wage scale built into this position that occurs annually.
This is a non-exempt position. 90 day introductory period.
