After School Teacher/Driver

We're hiring a teacher for the After School program at K.E.L.A.!

Responsibilities:

• This is a key holding position
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment.
• Establish positive and productive relationships with parents and children
• Help ensure a well-run, purposeful program responsive to the needs of the children
• Maintain a commitment to professionalism and excellence. ·
• Support the social and emotional development of the children and provide positive guidance
• Attend and implement the training you’ve received in the day-to-day operations of the preschool classroom.
• Implementing class curriculum, activities & experiences in a developmentally-appropriate manner, meeting the needs of the students.
• Facilitate a classroom that invites exploration, promotes positive plan, and welcomes children.
• Promote a team concept through positive interactions with children, parents & other staff

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age, with high school diploma or equivalent. CDA preferred.
• Must provide a negative TB skin test
• Must be able to meet all child care licensing requirements.
• Previous experience working with school-age children preferred.
• CPR & First Aid certifications must be obtained/maintained throughout employment.
• Demonstrate the ability to follow directions, make good judgements, and be reliable and dependable.
• A positive attitude and a high energy disposition. Must be active and able to keep up with small energetic children during entire shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
