Job Overview
The Aquatics Manager is responsible for overseeing all aquatic operations within our facility, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and engaging environment for guests. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for guest services, as you will manage a team of lifeguards and aquatic staff while also coordinating events and activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in swim and customer service, with experience in managing aquatic facilities or programs.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the aquatics facility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Manage and train lifeguard staff and swim instructors, providing ongoing support and performance evaluations.
- Implement our swim curriculum, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and special events.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Oversee cash handling procedures for admissions and event registrations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events that utilize the aquatics facility.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for smooth operations.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all aquatic areas to provide a welcoming environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in swim or customer service roles is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in events management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is required.
- A background in swim and management will be considered an asset.
- Certification in lifeguarding or water safety instruction is preferred but not mandatory.
