Daycare Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves supporting lead teachers in daily classroom activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and promoting educational development through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily supervision of children in the daycare setting.
• Help create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical needs throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff regarding daily activities and any concerns.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Skills in educating young children through play-based learning methods.
• Experience in infant care, babysitting, or nannying is advantageous.
• First aid certification is desirable but can be obtained upon hiring.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• A genuine love for children and a commitment to their development and well-being.

Pay: $11.50 - $12.00 per hour
