Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Aide to join our team. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of individuals with disabilities. The staff are very professional and have the best interest of the children in this Self-Contained 12:1:1 preschool setting.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities to promote their personal growth and independence
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement educational plans and strategies
- Provide classroom support in an Self-Contained 12:1:1 preschool setting.
- Assist in childcare duties, including feeding, diapering, and engaging in age-appropriate activities
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Provide toddler care and support during daily routines and activities
- Utilize behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in an educational setting is preferred
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is beneficial
