Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Provide direct patient care and assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises.
- Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities.
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
Requirements:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Familiarity with occupational health and acute care settings.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans.
