Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to Toddler-aged children while ensuring their safety and well-being. A commitment to taking this job seriously including arriving on time and daily, having a positive work ethic, and a plan to be at work every day, with very little absences. These children come to school every day and we need a teacher that will set a great example for the children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to build a supportive community.
- Maintain classroom management by establishing clear expectations and guidelines for behavior.
- Provide caregiving support including diaper changing, feeding, and ensuring the overall health of infants when applicable.
- Organize activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth in children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in early childhood education or related fields such as daycare or babysitting.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage children effectively.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred; certification may be required.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports children's learning needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
- A background in caregiving or experience working with infants is a plus.
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education is highly desirable but not mandatory.
