Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher/Floater to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As a Child Care Teacher/Floater, you will play a crucial role in the development and education of children, guiding them through their early learning experiences.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning in various subjects, including math and literacy.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring that all children are engaged and participating.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets safety standards.
- Collaborate with other educators to create an integrated curriculum that supports the overall development of each child.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or private school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Flexibility
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
- A genuine love for working with children and helping them grow.
- Participation in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills as well as to maintain up to Teas Licensing Minimum Standards
- Able to lift up to 35lbs
- High School Diploma
- CPR/First Aid a plus
