What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Curriculum Coordinator position at Kids 'R' Kids #62 TX?
Large private preschool is looking for an energetic early childhood professional to oversee curriculum. Must have experience as a classroom teacher(preferable some preschool) and some management experience as well. Our candidate needs to be flexible in their schedule due to the nature of our business, a team player and great leader.
Some of the duties include: Supervising curriculum implementation, Preparing curriculum materials,Organize and maintain supplies,Training and teacher development, Mentor teachers,Substitute at front desk and classrooms when needed, Communicate with parents who have questions about curriculum
Skills needed:Early childhood classroom management, DAP-Developmentally Appropriate practices, classroom set-up and room arrangement, learning centers, circle time, appropriate behavior management skills, transitions, classroom schedules and routines. Must work well with teachers and be able to motivate and coach in a positive manner. Must be able to give training session on a variety of topics (such as: classroom management, circle time, etc) to small groups. Must be organized and able to manage with limited supervision to ensure that teachers have all the skills, materials and curriculum necessary to run their classrooms. This job is a combination of working hands-on in classrooms as an on-site reference, mentor teacher and extra set of hands and ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the school.
