Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves educating and caring for preschool-aged children, including those with special needs, while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide individualized support to children with special education needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor children's progress and development through regular assessments and observations.
- Organize activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth in young children.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Proven skills in classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- Experience in babysitting or childcare settings is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first few months of employment.
