YOUR LIFE AS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHING ASSISTANT
This part-time or full-time teaching position can work shifts Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM, or 2:00 PM - 6:30 PM.
As an Early Childhood Teaching Assistant, you come to school every day with a smile on your face and a readiness to play! You offer vital classroom assistance as you support your lead teacher in directing the children's daily routines. Always prioritizing safety and cleanliness, you engage the children in age-appropriate activities and lesson plans. To help foster their confidence and independence, you encourage the kids to try new things and persevere through their struggles. As you interact with the children, you ensure everyone is involved in the activity and playing kindly with each other.
You also assist with daily care tasks such as feeding, hand washing, and diapering. As the day goes on, you make notes about the behaviors you observe, both positive and negative, and you share those with the parents during pick-up time. After the students leave, you help tidy the classroom and prepare it for the next day. You love spending time with our young students and find personal satisfaction in developing their skills and building their self-esteem!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- CPR and First Aid certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to perform the physical requirements for the job, including the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to comply with company policy regarding drug testing
2 years of experience in a relevant field would be preferred but is not required. We may be able to provide CPR and First Aid training to the right candidate.
