Job Description:
The Curriculum Coordinator is a pivotal role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all educational initiatives for our preschool. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a dynamic, child-centered curriculum that fosters emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the preschool’s curriculum in alignment with state guidelines and best practices in early childhood education.
- Support and mentor teachers, providing professional development and guidance to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Oversee student assessments and progress reports, ensuring that children’s developmental milestones are tracked and addressed appropriately.
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes active learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and to engage them in the learning process.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local childcare licensing requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the administrative team on student admissions, enrollment strategies, and staff recruitment.
- Help plan and implement school engagement events throughout the school year.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching or leadership experience in early childhood education, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of child development and early learning curriculum standards.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, make data-driven decisions, and maintain a positive work culture.
- Director-level certification or credential in early childhood education.
- Experience in managing a diverse team of educators.
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or other early learning methodologies.
