Daycare Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and the ability to manage a classroom effectively. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and other staff members to ensure a safe and engaging learning atmosphere.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Manage classroom behavior by establishing clear rules and expectations while providing positive reinforcement.
• Observe and assess children's progress, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children to learn and play.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Provide care for infants or toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and behavior management strategies.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Experience in preschool settings or similar environments is preferred.
• Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning space.
• Ability to engage children in educational activities while promoting creativity and exploration.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies to address various challenges effectively.
• Experience in nannying or providing infant care is advantageous.
• Understanding of special education needs and the ability to work with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.81 per hour
