What are the responsibilities and job description for the School-Age Teacher and Floater position at Kids University?
*This is a floating position. Daily hours, total weekly hours, and room assignment will vary. The ideal candidate will have flexible availability Monday through Friday. Most days would be spent with school age children
Requirements:
- Background Check
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and reach
- Must have good balance and be able to maneuver around obstacles such as children, furniture, and toys
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to easily go from standing to sitting and sitting to standing
- Must be patient, playful, kind, and have the energy to keep up with busy infant through 12 year old children
- Ability to adapt to meet the expectations of each classroom as they vary based on the age/development of the children.
- Ability to follow rules/policies for Kids University, Child Care Licensing, and Texas Rising Star.
Duties:
- Provide a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment
- Follow provided daily schedule
- Follow lesson plan to teach, engage, and entertain children with activities, lessons, and crafts
- Actively engage with children throughout the day through communication, playing games, leading activities, etc.
- Serve snack and/or lunch at designated time
- Perform light cleaning duties such as after meal times and at the end of the day
- Change diapers, pull-ups and/or soiled clothing. Assist with potty training

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
