What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant/Aide position at Kids Zone Educational Child Care LLC?
We are looking for a part time assistant Infant Room teacher, who supports other staff and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. They must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Staff will be responsible for assisting in the daily care of infants, including maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, following diapering and hand washing policies, and adhering to the daily schedule of individual Infants and the center. Staff are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Lead Teacher and the Director.
Duties
- Assist with opening procedures of the room
- Assist in the implementation of activities, daily care routines, etc.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and child care software app.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Must be reliable, understanding that attendance is important to maintain center ratios
- High energy, positive attitude, solid work ethic
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- An understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must pass FBI/BCI background check as required by ODJFS and provide an Employee Medical Statement.

Child Development Associate certification
Experience with children in a licensed child care setting
Established and verified OCCRRA account
Knowledge of Ohio Child Care licensing rules & regulations
Current certification in Child Abuse & Neglect Recognition & Reporting, Infant Child & Adult CPR, First Aid, and Communicable Disease
